Is there additional parking available to guests?

There are 3 car parks on the estate which are operated by Canary Wharf. The closest car park to East Wintergarden is Jubilee Place Car Park. Parking information can be found here: https://canarywharf.com/parking/

Is there wifi available?

We provide a wireless internet connection for unlimited users at a speed of 2Mbps per device which is sufficient for sending emails, web browsing and social media connectivity. Please speak to your event organiser for login details.

Does the venue have air conditioning and heating?

Yes. Despite its glazed appearance the air conditioning in the East Wintergarden is powerful enough to make the room cool even in mid-summer. The venue also has heating for cold winter nights.

Are there restrictions on noise?

Yes, there’s currently an upper limit of 90dB (peak), this limit is continually under review and subject to change without notice.

How can I get to East Wintergarden on public transport?

East Wintergarden is easily accessible by public transport from the Canary Wharf station on the Jubilee or Elizabeth lines, by Canary Wharf or Heron Quays stations on Docklands Light Railway, and is located less than 100m from the nearest bus stop. How much does it cost to hire the venue?

The venue hire rate varies depending on your requirements. Please get in touch with the sales team.

Do you have disabled access and facilities?

Yes. Our venue is fully DDA compliant. This includes all working areas of the venue including the Gallery and toilets.

Is there a cloakroom on site?

Yes. Located just outside of the Main Hall in the East Vestibule there is a cloakroom for up to 400 guests. Please speak to the team for a quote for cloakroom staffing for your event.

What are the access times?

The venue can be hired 24 hours a day if required. Your hire period must be inclusive of all periods when you require access, including set-up and breakdown time. For recommendations for hire times, speak to one of our venue team.

Is there any parking for suppliers at the East Wintergarden?

There are two spaces outside the venue for supplier parking. Vehicles under 2 metres tall can park in the nearby estate car parks. Vehicles over 2 metres may park at Billingsgate Market. Please use this link for more information on parking under section ‘Ad Hoc parking for the day’

Is there guest parking at the East Wintergarden?

Yes. The Canary Wharf estate’s closest car park to East Wintergarden is Jubilee Place, and several other car parks on the estate. arking fees apply and car parks have a height restriction of 2 metres..

Does the venue have good acoustics?

The acoustics are excellent due to the glass being treated with a specialist German product ‘Microsorber’, which helps to soundproof the space.

Who can I contact for lost property after an event?

Please contact your event organiser if you think you may have left anything in the cloakroom or venue.

Are there pillars or other obstructions at the venue?

No. The venue is completely free of any pillars or obstructions.

What is the latest time my event can go on until?

The standard finish time when hiring the East Wintergarden is 23:00, but can be extended through application for a late licence.

Is there an in-house bar?

Yes. The in-house bar is stylish and has branding opportunities on the facia. Should you wish to hire an additional bar, or one that is more in keeping with the theme of your event, our in-house production team, Vibration Design & Production, can provide alternative options.

What is the access for deliveries?

There is direct access to the space via large double doors (3 x 3.6m), allowing for load-in and drive-in access. The venue is unable to accept deliveries outside the hours of venue hire due to limited storage capacity.

Is the venue exclusive for my event?

Yes. East Wintergarden is an exclusive hire venue.

Is there a smoking area available for staff and guests?

Yes. Canary Wharf estate operates designated smoking areas throughout the estate. The smoking area for East Wintergarden is located within our Waterside Terrace and is accessible from the East Vestibule.

Can event organisers source their own suppliers?

We work with pre-approved suppliers to ensure our event standards and health & safety expectations are upheld. External suppliers require prior approval from the venue.

Are you licensed for Civil Ceremonies?

Our Main Hall & Gallery are both licensed for Civil Ceremonies. Please note if you wish for the room to be turned around from a ceremony layout to a wedding reception, additional charges apply for staffing and furniture collection/delivery

Do you allow live flames in the venue?

Use of live flame is not permitted in the venue with the exception of religious ceremonies that require a small live flame. To gain approval, we do require a health & safety risk assessment to ensure the process is safe for all guests and there is an additional charge for a fire warden for the duration of the live flame.

Do you allow confetti in the venue?

Confetti is not permitted in the venue due to the high gloss marble flooring. As an alternative, we suggest the use of real flower petals (excluding lilies)

Can I extend the event time beyond the guest departure at midnight?

Of course. Extensions are subject to approval and availability and is an additional cost of £1,000 + VAT per hour

What is the cost to have more guests than 250 attend our special day?

Additional furniture costs will apply (see below), and there will be an additional cost for security guards. Please contact a member of the sales team for a quote for the additional guards based on your desired number of guests.

Is it possible to have different furniture or more than what is included in the wedding package?

Yes absolutely, please find costs below for varying/additional furniture:

Are cloakroom staff included in the wedding package?

The venue includes cloakroom equipment and can provide staffing for an additional cost. 2 members of staff are £500 + VAT based on a 7 hour event. Alternatively, your chosen caterer from our exclusive catering list can provide staff and cloakroom tags for an additional cost.

Can I use the Waterside Terrace for my event?

The Waterside Terrace is your designated smoking area for the event however, if you wish to host a drinks reception in this area we can accommodate up to 120 guests with minimal furniture. Please note an additional cost will apply for additional security guards and the licence in this area is until 22:00PM

Do you have an additional space I can use for entertainment/changing throughout the day?

Yes absolutely, we can offer the Promenade Room which is directly adjacent to the Main Hall. The additional hire for this space would be £1,500 + VAT

Is a bar included within hire of the venue?

Yes our venue bar is included within hire. For upgrade options, please contact our production team at  for options

Are there options for additional production in the venue?

We work with an in-house production, Vibration Design & Production, who can provide options for draping, walkways, dancefloors, DJs/entertainment, staging, haze and cool pyros. Please contact them on  for a bespoke quote
